The Order of the Swirling Smoke LLC was started in April 2019 by a group of regulars at the Appleton Souvenir & Cigar shop downtown Appleton, WI. Since this date this cigar club has grown to 160 member strong. Our members come from from various walks of life and include everything from the blue collar work force up to doctors, lawyers, and clergy. We believe that what a person did with their life or how much they made is not as important as bonding over the common interest of cigars. We truly are an all inclusive organization. Over the last couple years floated around a variety of ways we could give back to the communities in which we reside. Through these ideas the determination was made by the board members of the Order of the Swirling Smoke LLC to found a 501c3 non-profit organization to accomplish this mission. Our first event was held on June 11, 2021 and was a cigar and bourbon tasting. While only limited to 20 people, this event was a great success with rave reviews. Even before the Cigar and Bourbon night, we had been working on planning the Golfing for a Cause Golf outing to be held on June 10, 2023 at Hickory Hills Country Club in Chilton, WI. The cigar and bourbon night was used as a small scale effort at organizing a larger scale event while still having a fun and educational experience for all those that attended. We are now using the lessons we learned at this event to insure that out First Annual Golf for a Cause event will be a success. Along with expanding the Bourbon and Cigar event every year, we plan on continually building on the previous years’ success.
